Falafel Sandwich with Hummus



This Falafel Sandwich with Hummus is a delightful combination of crispy falafel, creamy homemade hummus, and fresh veggies, all packed into a warm pita bread. It's a satisfying and flavorful meal that's perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup chickpeas, cooked and drained
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 falafel patties
  • 4 pita bread rounds
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced
  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
  • Tahini sauce for drizzling

Instructions:

Put the cooked chickpeas, tahini, garlic that has been minced, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, salt, and pepper in a food processor

Add water as needed to get the hummus consistency you want

Blend until smooth and creamy

As directed on the package, heat the falafel patties

If you're making them from scratch, fry them until they're golden brown and crispy

You can warm the pita bread rounds up in a dry pan or the microwave for a short time
